Biography
Fumie Sasaki / Born and raised in Tokyo Japan.
After receiving a master's degree in Metal carving from the Department of Crafts at Tokyo University of the Arts, she worked as an instructor at Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry for 16 years. During that time, she stayed as an exchange student at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam, the Netherlands to deepen her knowledge of contemporary jewelry under Marjan Unger. After retiring from Hiko Mizuno, she has been working as a technical instructor at Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Crafts, as well as she is being an instructor, she is presenting her jewelry works in solo and group exhibitions.
