Biography

Kaori TAKIZAWA, born in Japan, lives in Tokyo.

She finished her bachelor’s and master's degrees in Metal hammering from the Tokyo University of the Arts.

At present, she is a teaching research assistant at the Tokyo University of the Arts.

Her works are small sculptures of animals, very lifelike and with moveable parts.

Ms. Takizawa is attracted to sculpting these creatures because she wants to give shape and expression to the powerful impression they leave on her, as well as the transience of their lives.
