Biography
Keiya Hashimoto was born in Fukushima Prefecture and currently, he is in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
1998 Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Crafts
2001 M.F.A. in Crafts, Tokyo University of the Arts
Since 2018, he has been an associate professor in the textile arts laboratory of the university's Department of Crafts, where I manage the laboratory and educate students while creating artwork.
Mr. Hashimoto is interested in the actions we take and the situations we see in our daily lives. He approaches his work with the sense of sublimating them.
He makes full use of Weaving and Dyeing to produce, and his works are mainly fiber-based modeling.
Mr. Hashimoto has exhibited his works in national and international exhibitions.
