Biography
Ms. Miyuki Imai uses lacquer on the theme of natural phenomena such as rain and sunlight filtering through trees, as well as natural motifs such as trees and flowers. Mainly using the dry lacquer technique, we aim to create works that are light and easy to use, blend into our lives, and add color to our daily lives.
Participating in Diplomarbeiten Paris・SanktPetersburg・Hangzhou・Kanton・Tokio/Museum für Lackkunst(Germany) and Asian Lacquer Craft Exchange Research Project.
Current, Department of Crafts Assistant Professor, Tokyo University of the Arts. Member of the director, Japan Cultural Assets Urushi Association. A judging committee of the National Lacquerware Exhibition.
